How the Speaking mock works

  1. 1. Book. Pay for one mock or three, then pick any open slot. You get the Zoom link once your slot is confirmed.
  2. 2. Take the test. The examiner runs a full IELTS Speaking test: Part 1 questions about yourself, a Part 2 long turn after one minute to prepare, and a Part 3 discussion. It takes 11–14 minutes, as in the real exam.
  3. 3. Get your band. You receive a band for each of the four criteria (Fluency and Coherence, Lexical Resource, Grammatical Range and Accuracy, Pronunciation), an overall Speaking band and written feedback on what to work on next.

Your examiner

M. Rafiz Uddin Sarker teaches English and Phonetics at university level, holds a BA and MA in English from the University of Dhaka and has taught Bangladeshi students for over ten years. Phonetics is the study of speech sounds, so he can tell you exactly which sounds and stress patterns are costing you marks in Pronunciation.

Not ready for an examiner yet? Every Skillora mock test includes a Speaking section marked by AI on the same four criteria.
